Eliandra Cavazos and Fernando Polanco III Love Story
20 05 2009My love and I have been together since our sophomore year in high school which was in 2001. We’ve been through so much together, you can say we’ve grown up together. I’ve always been the fairytale type of girl and can honestly say with all my heart that he’s my prince charming. He has worked so hard to make our dreams come true. We have been wanting to get married since we graduated high school, but knew we needed to get things in order before jumping into a marriage. Thankful the years have been so fruitful to us, my love and I were able to buy our dream house. Now that we have a place to call our home and ready start a family. The first time he proposed was Spring of our sophomore year, with a pretzel ring! and believe or not I still have it!LOL Over the years he tried to convince me to go to Vegas, but I want my fairytale dream wedding. In May of 2008 after a watching Iron man we were upstaris in his room he asked me to get him something to eat so i did. Then he asked me to go back downstairs for a drink by this time he was getting on my nerves sending up and down, but when I gave him his drink he has a serious face I was worried he was going to tell me something bad. Then he get on one knee pops open a little black box I dont even remember him asking me to marry him was so in shock with my ring I wrapped my arms around him and looking at my ring behind him! In aww my love totally suprised me. It was amazing i couldnt have asked for more.

Vanessa Cruz’s Love Story
20 05 2009From the day I met him my heart already knew there was something about him. Underneath that mysterious persona I knew there had to be a humble soul. To my surprise after a year of being FRIENDS I began to know the real Luis. Never did I imagine that someone whom was once my friend would bring so much happiness, laughter, let alone a beautiful love into my life. Was it his beautiful smile that captured my heart, his hand to hold when I was down, his will to make me feel special in any way that he could or something so simple like a smile to brighten my day when it wasn’t so bright! Whatever it was about Luis after 4 years together my heart still beats faster when he’s closer to me and I still get all gushy like a school girl in love! I am just grateful that my heart felt what my eyes couldn’t see because I sincerely feel he is my soul mate for all eternity….

Giana Gallardo & Beau’s Love Story
19 05 2009 I like many others, am a sucker for romance. I enjoy reading novels and watching movies where love conquers all and the destined couple ends up together despite obstacles. Though such ideas always captivated me, I was also skeptical about whether such love existed in the real world. And if it did, would I be lucky enough to find it?
From an early age I had the notion that there was one special person meant only for me. But again, it was hard to reconcile this thought with the society I lived in. A society that was full of broken relationships and fleeting encounters.
I grew up in Brownsville, but went to college in Pella, Iowa, and lived there for seven years. When I decided to return home in order to give back to the community, I had to make a conscious decision that meeting someone and starting a family was not at the top of my list. I had not had much luck with “locals” in the past and was certain that nothing had changed during my time away. This could not have been further from the truth.
After living here for a year I was looking for a sense of community. Through a local church I got connected with a small group and met many quality people. One of those persons was Beau Hesterberg. I knew leaving the gathering that evening that he was my future husband. It is not something I can fully explain, except that I had a strong, peaceful feeling about it. Beau and I became friends and hung out for about 6 months. This whole time I never said anything nor did I hint about the curiosity he had sparked within me.
One evening we went to a country concert with a group of friends. I noticed there was something different in the way Beau looked at me and spoke to me. He chose to gravitate around me most of the evening, enjoying the sights and sounds. I called him five minutes after he dropped me off at home and told him I needed to speak with him. I simply asked him if he had more than friendly intentions towards me and he admitted that he wanted to get to know me better. He called me the following day and we prayed together, trying to feel out exactly where we were headed. That was November 24th.
On December 6, Beau asked me into courtship over coffee. We were serious from the beginning and discussed that we would move ahead with the intention of eventually getting married unless we felt otherwise. He had plans to live in Israel for three months starting at the end of February. Needless to say we became closely acquainted quickly and made the most of the time we thought he had left. ![]()
On Valentine’s Day Beau showed up in my classroom dressed as Spider-Man with a bouquet of flowers (I was teaching Saturday Academy). I had often joked that my boyfriend was Spider-Man when my fifth graders asked me about my personal life. Later that evening he took me to eat at Tre-Fratelli’s and then to dance at Dean Porter Park. He made a mix of love songs and talked about how much he would miss me when he left for Israel. He then started making his way towards the ground on one knee saying, “I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that I love you and I want you to be a part of it. Will you marry me?” I said yes!
Beau has shown me how good love is. Real love. Not the stuff movies are made of, but a lasting romance. We know that we are meant to be together, and that we are better together than alone.
It is my hope that our story inspires other young men and women that yearn for that companionship. My belief in love and destiny has been restored.
We would love nothing more than the honor of having RGV Photography at our wedding. We want quality photographers, along with our 300 guests, to capture our first official kiss on the lips as husband and wife.

Kay Molina & Jack Chavez Love Bug Story:
19 05 2009It started with a single myspace message…. An attempt to make a new friend in a town where I lost connections with my peers. She was the most amazingly beautiful person I had ever laid my eyes upon. She was a radiologic student who had lively vibe about her and a smile that would assure you that you would just love her. After a couple of days of messaging, I was able to convince her to take her out for ice cream. At first encounter, she held the image of a boxer….by this I mean that she had a brace around her clavicle and a black eye. The day before our first rendezvous, she had an accident that left her embarrassed with these battle scars. Behind the injury and the black eye I saw the gorgeous person that awaited. It didn’t phase me at all, her personality and smile drew the attention away from all that and we had a nice little conversation over a Snickers Concrete shake and a Pink Poodle. We talked and immediately learned that we were polar opposites. She was a local type of girl who had everything organized, liked to dance and listen to all types of funky music. I was the laid back hippy rocker guy with torn jeans, a Bob Marley shirt and a redsox cap. It didn’t matter though, I knew there was something about her that I liked and made me want to talk to her more. After I drove her home, walked her to her door and gave her a friendly hug, I found myself smiling the whole way home. It was a weird, but good feeling that I had never experienced before. The more I thought about her, the more I felt happy about my life and what could be. She became my love bug…….
Stoked about having met someone so refreshing and adorable, I spent as much time with her as I could. Watching movies, playing poker and showing off my limited but reliable guitar playing skills were how we spent our first few dates.. She was amazing. The more I learned about her the more I started to feel drawn to her. Unfortunately she didn’t feel the same because I was two years younger. I had some major impressing to do but more importantly I had to show her that I could be serious about us. After asking her to be my girlfriend about 15 or 16 times, she finally said yes. It was a moment that I will never forget. Both of us just smiling at each other in my drive way, and me personally just thankful that I would get a chance to make her as happy as she had made me. After three years of happiness, good and bad times, a ton of memories and a lot of growing up, I finally asked her if she would do me the honor of being my all time love. I don’t know if it was the ring or the speech, but she cried happily and said…yes!!!
I said a little prayer and thanked GOD for letting me meet someone that I can hold dear in my life. Someone to trust, struggle and succeed with, someone who can be my best friend and the love of my life.
I’m sure there are lots of people who really want to win this contest. I can only speak for myself that we should be so lucky to even be considered. I originally planned to write this along my fiancé, but instead am taking the initiative and telling you our story because I think she deserves the best. She’s trying so hard to plan the most perfect wedding and have the best people capture our memories. After all, memories are what tell the story and carry it on through the years to come so our children and their kids can see. If I could do it with no help, I wouldn’t be writing this story. I know that this could be a long shot, but it is a shot. I’ve never been the “winner” at any contests, but I really hope I can be in this one. Not really for me, but for us. She’s such an amazing, beautiful and kind hearted person, that deserves her dream to come true. I hope you enjoyed our little love story
